More Books
Zuly,
I, like you, wanted to read any book that would help me understand the TJEDRefers generally to the concepts presented in the book A Thomas Jefferson Education, written by Dr. Oliver DeMille. In addition to the books already recommended, I highly recommend the book, "The Call to Brilliance" by Resa Steindel Brown. It is not a TJEDRefers generally to the concepts presented in the book A Thomas Jefferson Education, written by Dr. Oliver DeMille. Other books that have helped me with following this philosophy are "Nurtured by Love" by Suzuki, Charlotte Mason books, books about the Montessori philosophy, books by John Holt, "Dumbing us Down" by John Taylor Gatto. These books have helped me to trust the learning process by honoring their freedom and individual interests. I hope you enjoy and learn as much as I have from these books.
Further Reading
Hi, Zuly! Welcome aboard. After reading A Thomas Jefferson Education, I'd first recommend you read the other books co-authored by Dr. DeMille—Leadership Education: The Phases of Learning and A Thomas Jefferson Home Companion. That will help give you a broader view of what TJEdRefers generally to the concepts presented in the book A Thomas Jefferson Education, written by Dr. Oliver DeMille. After that, you'll probably have some ideas of your own where you want your study to go.

Two of these three books
Two of these three books are unavailable in our local library. Does anyone in Utah County borrow their books out?
TJED Books
I have all of the books, and I live in Orem. My husband and I are still reading The Phases of Learning, but I would be willing to loan you the Home Companion. By the time you get done with that one, we should be done with The Phases. You have to promise to give them back though! ;)
I would definitely recommend buying the books though...they are something that you will want to read multiple times, and you will want to have your kids read them when they get old enough. They can be found at the GW website, or through classicbooks.com. I think they are worth buying!
You can contact me at altartemis@hotmail.com, if you want to borrow the books, and we can arrange something!
