Introducing the TJEd Roadmap!
This course is designed to help you (in the words of Stephen Covey) “Begin with the end in mind.”
There are other TJEd offerings that give you day-to-day inspiration, support and ongoing practical coaching, but none is so specifically purposed as this to help you capture the big-picture vision.
By knowing where you’re heading, and why, you’ll be more motivated to stay the course, more empowered to successfully mentor challenges, and more enlightened in your ability to choose between multiple “goods” to personalize your approach in educating yourself and facilitating your children’s experience.
This course fleshes out the “end in mind” by 1) exploring and explaining the unique character and prospects of this current crop of children and youth and 2) showing what the transition to adult learning and success look like on the TJEd path.
IMPORTANT: If your children are young, or you’re new to the TJEd model, the adult phases content may not be currently operational in how you spend your days with your kids. But knowing beforehand what it looks like makes all the difference in a thousand little choices between this point and that eventuality.
The course includes:
Chapter I
Seminar: Raising the Artist Generation
This generation of children and youth has uniquee challenges and opportunities. Sometimes it seems the challenges far outweigh the opportunities!
Parents of older youth share that they can seem dark, anxious and pessimistic — when they actually share their heart. They can be enigmatic and hard to reach when they don’t.
Understanding the psyche, challenges and opportunities presented by the generational character and milieu for each generation is empowering both to mentors, and to those they teach, coach and advise.
And yet, a conveyor-belt hangover persists among parents, grandparents and mentors who hold misconceptions about who our children are, what they fear, what they’re made for, and how to prepare them.
- Intro: The Generations – Then and Now
AUDIO: ~25m
In this brief workshop, you’ll learn the generational periods that are anchored in the key moments in history, why the wrong dates are so widespread in our society (and why that’s problematic), and prepare for the presentations that follow where you will learn how to mentor the rising generation for success in their generational challenges, opportunities and historic roles. - Part I: Meet the Rising Artist Generation – “Homelanders”
AUDIO: ~1h1m
In this workshop, Oliver and Rachel DeMille will outline the generational character, psyche and challenges of this Artist generation in preparation for the Part II Conclusion, where solutions and specific skills, tasks and mindshifts are prescribed. We believe you’ll find the newest research on the rising generation to be a little shocking [we did], with reason to be not only concerned, but optimistic. - Part II: Mentoring the Rising Artist Generation
AUDIO: ~56m
In this final presentation, Oliver and Rachel enumerate the 10 Assets needed by the Homelanders for future happiness and success in their personal and generational missions, and give practical, empowering strategies on how to mentor this rising generation to gain these valuable traits, skills, knowledge and habits. You’ll be glad you followed through till the finale, because it’s peaceful, joyful and healing!
Chapter II
Audio: The Bridge
No education is ever “complete,” at any age or level. And yet, the Phases of Learning and the emphasis on getting “An Education to Match Your Mission” give a roadmap to guide and mentor getting such an education.
In this 45-minute audio, Oliver DeMille discusses how to mentor the transition from Scholar to Depth Phase, and how to use that critical “Bridge” to fill in the gaps that inevitably occur during childhood and youth, so that the young adult is prepared to take on higher education, private mentoring, career and adult responsibilities, while pursuing a Depth Phase education that helps them achieve their personal mission.
Chapter III
Audio: The Seven Lessons of Depth Phase
While it may seem that young adulthood and the rigors of career, family and continuing education are a long way off (… or possibly not!), having a clear vision of the principles of TJEd and the lessons of Depth Phase enables us to navigate the challenging and rewarding process of Leadership Education.
In this 72-minute audio, Oliver continues the discussion of the Phases, explores the various forms of Allegiance, and outlines the 7 Lessons of Depth Phase, showing how to prepare ourselves and our children to be the Leaders we and they were born to be.
